Hi

My DS has had a cold and cough for last week or so which is fine (he is miserable, but I know they get this sort of thing!). However yesterday he stared to run a fever of 39 degrees. Calpol brings it down but it keeps creeping back up. He was projectile sick today (just the once) after he had his breastmilk feed (he is on solids and had his lunch a couple of hours before (that came up too). I have taken him to the doctor to have him checked and he has no bacterial infections that she can find. She thinks it is probably just a viral infection.
The only problem is she told me just to give him water all afternoon then sold food tonight, but no milk?! I'm just wondering on other's advice as I thought breastmilk was the easiest thing for babies to digest?

Thanks

I would maintain breastfeeds as that will help to hydrate him as well as provide nutrition.
