DD has had a cold for about a week now and it seemed to be getting better. She had a temperature last night (39.2) and so I gave calpol. She seemed to still be hot through the night but slept OK. This morning her temperature still seems high (38.8), have given more calpol and think it;s coming down slowly. She has a cough but no other syptoms.
Is this something I should be worried about? She's sitting having breakfast and is maybe a little clingier than normal but isn't acting 'unwell'

My 5 have gone/going down with this, very high temperatures older ones have complained of headaches but my 15 month has just been clingy and very hot. Gave in and gave calpol through the night so that they cooled down (night is scary!) and got some rest. They seem to come through the temp within a couple of days. Hopefully nothing to worry about, hope yours feels better soon.

If it persists then have her ears checked in case it's an infection.

Often it'll sort itself out though anyway.

Keep on with the calpol or nurofen stuff as it'll make her more comfortable.

Thank you - will do, just wanted to check I wasn't being too lax. She is currently clumping around in a nappy and her wellies and has been fighting with her brother so I don't think there's anything too wrong :) Hadn't thought of an ear infection but DS started getting them at almost exactly her age, so thanks for the warning - I will keep an eye on it.
