Baby walker advice please!

I'm not sure that I am posting this in the right topic, but like a fool, I wasn't sure which topic to put it in!

Anyway, can anyone help with this little issue? I am trying to find a baby walker (the kind they sit in, not push) which isn't very wide so that my DD can get around the kitchen without getting stuck on bits of furniture. All the baby walkers I have seen seem to be a bit wide and bulky. Sorry for such a trivial question, but honestly, my internet searches have come up with nothing!

I think they are all wide, by definition, so that they do not tip over, sorry.

I went for a doorway bouncer thing, and loved the vtech first steps baby walker with musical bits on. IIRC the walkers are not the safest thing for babies so I would avoid TBH.

For safety they have to be that wide, sorry.

Yes they are all going to be wide I'm afraid. They're not very good for their foot development, either. How old is she? My DS could manage one of the ELC wooden push along walkers at about 10 months, and he didn't walk until 16 months (was pulling up by 8ish). They are really sturdy and built so that they won't tip up.

DS also liked a jumperoo which is like a cross between a sit-in walker and a door bouncer (it doesn't move) - he liked bouncing in it and could see what was going on really well.

Oh rats! I thought you would all come back and say that they were meant to be wide for safety reasons - according to my mother, I had a round one that I whizzed around in when I was a toddler, but then that was 1978!! I have to say, I don't really want a baby walker, but my mother is convinced that it would be good for DD2 who is 10 months old - DD1 is just over 2 and still isn't walking - we've since found out that this is because she is hyper flexible so it will take a while, but it has been discovered that DD2 has it too.

We have a jumperoo and DD2 adores it, so BertieBotts I think we will stick with that! We also have both the wooden walker and the V-tech one so I think we'll just persevere with that! Thanks guys - most helpful!
