Funny smelling vomit?

Sorry if this is a bit minging! My son who is 3 has been sick only at night the last 2 nights and his vomit smells so weird-not your usual acidy vom, but smells-for want of a better description-like really strong smelling raw chicken.... Which obviously he hadn't eaten. Otherwise he seems fine and his poo is normal-anyone elses kids had this? Just need a bit of reassurance. Ta! And apologies for the graphic descriptions...

How odd. Does he have any other symptoms? I think I'd be inclined to collect some and take it to the doctor to either have a look and sniff at or send off to be tested.
