DD has seen 2 doctors after complaining of a constant headache for over a week. Told to take ibuprofen and see an optician. Ibuprofen isn't helping and her eyes are fine. She now has to be seen by a peadiatrition.

Sorry, ivykaty. Lots on my mind. Not feeling very jokey.

Writing questions and taking a notepad is a great idea, thanks. We don't have a date yet as we have to see the GP later this week first.

Maybe until you have the appointment try to keep a diary when she complains about headache: really first thing in the morning all day long until going to bed or are there peaks and troughs? This could exclude a stress related cause for example. Paediatrician might ask about head injuries, whether she has had a knock recently. Don't know your dd's age, maybe her periods have started? People have headaches for many reasons ... many of us will have had a period in which we suffered from headaches and then they cleared again. I had terrible migraine for a few weeks years ago, now long gone, never had it back and no idea why I got it in the first place. Try not to worry too much, but it is good to get the referral though so you can sort things out. Good luck.

She says she has a headache all the time. Food wise she hasn't had anything new and eats pretty well and has plenty of water to drink. She has been through so many things I can't bare the thought of anything else wrong Sad.
