18 mo vomiting

My 18mo has vomited 3 times since 6pm. we all ate the same thing for supper (shepherds pie), and everyone else is fine. She has vomited twice in her sleep in her cot. I now have her downstairs with me ... not sure what to do. She seems fine otherwise - no temperature etc. Should I keep her in my bed tonight so I can keep an eye on her? really worried about her vomiting in her sleep again,,,, poor little thing.

She does not want to drink any water - but sure she must be dehydrated, When she managed a few sips last time, it seemed to prompt a vomit. What should I do??? Thanks.

It may just be a tummy bug they are always around at this time of year..they usually last around 24-48 hours (usually around 12 hours vomiting and/or diarrhoea the rest being lethargic and grumpy) All you can do is offer sips regularly and give cuddles.

Tummy bugs are easily passed to others so make sure to wash your hands regularly and avoid/limit contact with others.

You can get rehydration mixture from your local pharmacy if needed.

It should pass with no need for GP visits but if you have any concern about the amount she is vomiting, lack of intake, high fever, she becomes floppy, drowsy or shows signs of pain don't hesitate to go as it is always better to be safe.

My dd spent from 10am till 9pm in vomit misery so my sympathy is with you.
