ds is 3 and has been like this since forever - whenever he gets a bad cough, he will cough and cough and cough until it makes him sick. It happens regularly, sometimes he doesn't have to cough much and he is suddenly sick.

does anyone else's dc do this?

took him to nurse and GP - who is looking into asthma - but I couldn't seem to get the point across that while the coughing isn't great I am more worried about him puking up so readily and so frequently when his cough is bad - 3x in one day last week, every other day when he has a cough, once a week perhaps when he has no noticeable cough but it suddenly comes on.

thanks that's helpful to know. dr is great but just couldn't get her to focus on the vomiting. he has been using an inhaler for the last few weeks and seemed to be doing better, then got a bad cold and as ever the cough seems to stick around for ages and cause increased vomiting. due back in a couple of weeks so will wait it out.

My son had quite mild asthma and was prone to vomiting when he coughed when he was little. He grew out of the vomiting and then eventually grew out of the asthma too
