Hi

About 3 months ago Holly came out in spots over her torso they were red with a white head in centre, I took her docs and he said they were c pox but I didn't believe him as she had them when she was 6 months and these looked nothing like pox. So anyway month later they had gone off her belly but now around her groin area so I took her to see a diff doc who said it was folliclecullitis (Sp?) and gave her antibiotics so she took the medicine with a fight (yukky medicine) but after 2 days of taking it spots were getting better not worse so I stopped givine her it and took her to key doc , That doc told me it WASN'T folliculitis , it was a reaction to something or the heat so he gave me antihistamine liquid to give to her which didn't work either. Its been 3 months now and there still there . They will come in one area stay a day or 2 then go and then appear in diff area. They don't irritate her , I once tried to squeeze one (naughty mummy) and she really cried poor girl. So anyway I have booked her to see a diff doc next month but in meantime took her chemist today (sometimes think pharmacist knows better than doc) and she said coz of where they are top of legs and around naval , could it be nappy ?? We did swap from Active fit to baby dry , can't rem whether it all started just after the swap, so I have been and brought diff nappies today. Its driving me insane not knowing what the exact cause is .

Sorry to go on .

Thanks for reading my long story lol

I wouldn't worry about them. They're clearly causing her no discomfort at all. It might be a mild reaction to something, heat rash or nappy rash but if it's not getting worse, I'd just leave her to grow out of it.

Are you my sister? This sounds exactly what she went through (and indeed still is) with her DD. They have seen diff Dr's and each has said something diff and she has had countless creams and meds. One says it's fungal, then another says it's eczema so she is going around in circles.
With my DD i bypassed the Dr's and got my HV to refer me to the skin specialist, I got some steroid cream as it was getting infected by that point and it was clear in 5 days. maybe you could try that route! My sister's HV is a cow and won't refer but i was a broken sobbing mess when my then 3mth DD was so covered in spots and i was at wits end - you could try that!
Sorry not much help, hope you sort it soon.

Thanks for replies, I do think its gonna be something she will have to grow out of . But if its not cleared up by time I see doc I will asked to be refered to skin specialist. Its not Molluscum just googled that and those spots look too warty. I will keep u all informed how we get on.

OP wondered if you ever got to the bottom of this as sounds identical to the spots my toddler has had for 5 months. @Upsydaisy83
