DD1 starts school next month and she's just got into Charlie and Lola. I thought this might be good but I havent read it. Is it?

And if so, does anyone know the cheapest I can get it?

My daughter loves it.

Yes, it's lovely. but do be aware that it may introduce the idea that she will not have the wear a schooliform, as Lola doesn't, and actually most children do have to wear a schooliform.

GermanPrison - Is the uniform thing part of the story or just in the pictures?

It's part of the story....

My DS2 (who is also about to start school in September) having read said book, is spending much of his time telling me how he is' absolutely too small for school' - but once we have been through all the lola reasons (reading books to ogres, etc.) he is up for it again !

Actually, I think I'll get it. She's old enough to know the different rules.

Thanks everyone. Now, where do I get it? Is amazon marketplace a bit like ebay?

Meant to also say that this is one of the books my son's nursery chose to help with the transition to school.

We havent read them all yet, as some are a little advanced, but I figured they would be good for older birthdays.

Claire Bean ones are OK

All of the books on Madhouse's list are brilliant - and such a bargain.
