Oh if only, my mother threw away anything that wasn't nailed down. I had to hide my teddy bears when I went to school just in case she gave them to charity in my absence!

my parents are bibliophiles and I managed to persuade them to ship over a teachest full of my old books.!!!
Among our favourites are
The Great Blueness
Whose Mouse are You?
and Struepel Peter!
and lots of Tomi Ungerer and Maurice Sendak

I have tried in vain to delight the Fragrant Boys with that lovely fat black pig in Mrs Mopples' petticoat, but to no avail. Probably for the best really

I hope my mother still has Mrs Mopple - DD would probably love it when we go back, given that she's just started to show an interest in putting clothes on, with similar sorts of results.

My aunt once gave me a duplicate copy when I was small. 'Mrs Mopple's Washing Line!' I exclaimed, with unfettered joy. Since I could hardly speak, let alone read, I gave the game away before my parents could say 'Oh, how nice!'
