Book for a 4 yo which shows that girls are just as good as boys

He keeps coming out with 'girls are weak' and "boys win more" and he's only four! God knows where he's getting it from. It certainly isn't home since I'm the one who gets on rooves to shingle them, saws the firewood and rides the motorbike.

Any recommendations for books for a 4 yo with great female models?

Following OP as I’m in the same situation. My family think it’s hilarious because I wear my feminist values on my sleeve a lot of the time and make a big effort to keep everything equal, but my son is also coming out with some unbelievable stuff about girls it being able to do certain things etc etc 🙄

Zog is quite good (Julia Donaldson), although the second one is a bit more contrived.
Rosie Revere, Engineer is also good. Cant remember who wrote it tho.

I like ‘Benjamin & Tulip’ - it’s very funny as well as gently subversive. The girl kicks the boy’s ass, but they end up friends.

Bob Graham has written some good stories with girls in the central role (‘A Bus Called Heaven’, ‘Let’s Get a Pup’), which might help redress the balance a bit.

Also play him or sing him ‘Everything Possible’ by Fred Small at bedtime (preferably the ).

My 6yo son loves the little people big dreams range in Waterstones about famous females in history (Rosa parks, Anne frank, coco Chanel etc)

I love 'He Bear, She Bear' by Stan and Jan Berenstain. It's an old one (written in the 70's) but a total classic in my opinion. (If it's still in print of course; the copy I have is from the 70's itself!)
