I'm returning to teaching Year 1 in September and am a bit out of the loop re great picture books.

I love the likes of Dogger, Lost and Found, the Enormous Crocodile etc

Any ideas?

Are there any particular topics you are interested in?
My DS is in reception and loves Traction Man, Fast & Furry Racers by Jonathan Emmett and the 100-decker bus.

He does also like the enormous crocodile though!

Thanks schmalex for those new titles.

Think I need a trip to WHSmith grin

I doubt if WHSmith would stock them tbh, their range is pretty rubbish. Try Waterstones or an indie if you have one near you. There are loads of brilliant books around now!

That's a pity, I've got a 20% off all children's books voucher!!

I read this one at school yesterday, & they LOVED it. Led to worm drawing activity after!

The Cow Who Fell to Earth is brilliantly funny, and My Very Own Space is a good one about sharing...!

It's not a picture book but i recently bought "the rabbit who wanted to fall asleep" because it's a sleep hypnosis book for children who have sleepless nights.... It's really good.
