We have our nephew coming to visit from overseas in a few weeks time and I would like to buy him a few books to read while he's here that he can keep too.

I know he likes animal themed books and last time he was here he was reading a series about cats at war with other cat tribes, think it was called warrior cats, or something like that.

The only books I can think of is the redwall series but I'm not sure if they would appeal to the Xbox generation.

Can anyone recommend some animal themed books that would appeal to a 13yo boy?

Also, I found some skullduggery pleasant books in the charity shop, would this appeal too?

Redwall series by Brian Jacques is what I was going to suggest!

Watershed Down and Shardik by Richard Adams?

Shapeshifters series by Ali Sparkes is good

Erin Hunter (author of Warrior Cats) has done a series about stray dogs too which might appeal?

There's Varjak Paw, too, by S.F. Said, but it may be a little too young.

I'll check out shapeshifters on Amazon! Maybe it'll do one of those related book searches too.

Will look at varjak paw too.

Maus is graphic novel based on

ww2 I think but uses animals instead. Sounds odd but totally works
