The first part of a brand new series introduces Maisie Mae, the only girl in six siblings who manages to hold her own in a large unruly family. In this book her parents decide to convert the attic into a new bedroom after an unexpected inheritance falls their way. But who will be given the new room? Maisie Mae sets out on a mission to get a no boy zone of her very own.

Dd 7 would love this. Her 'stinky' 14 year old brother has banned her from his bedroom. She would love showing him this Grin

No email here either, received it yesterday.

My 6 year old dd LOVED it, she read it in pretty much one sitting last night and is asking if there are any more...she has had trouble getting into a few recent books but this one plus the last giveaway book she received (Jolley Roger) she has really loved.

DD has 2 older brothers so I think Maisie Mae really resonates with her. I would like to buy her the next in the series but having looked on Amazon it looks a bit pinkety-pink (Bad luck bridesmaid) so might wait until the following one which looks a bit less stereotypical girlie.

No email here either so I was a bit confused when it arrived in the post as I'd forgotten I'd applied for it Blush

DD was very excited to receive a new book and read it over a few bed times. In fact she got cross at lights off time because she wanted to read it till the end! When she finished it last night she ran downstairs to tell me the ending :)

I think she'd definitely be interested in more Maisie Mae stories.

Thank you for the copy of this book. My children absolutely loved this book and could read it themselves. They are twins so enjoyed reading about other twins in a book. I could hear them laughing to themselves! We will definitely be looking at the other books in the 'Maisie Mae' series. Thank you Smile

Dd ,7, thought this book was a hoot! She loved the bit where maisie paints her room pink and creates a terrible mess! She insisted on reading this whole section aloud to me, and it had us both in fits of giggles. She also commented that she liked 'the writing', by which i think she meant the font. It is printed in a very clear, slightly larger than usual font, which makes it a really attractive read for children of this age. Would she read any more Maisie stories? Definitely! She loved it. It's a perfect read for children aged 6-9, either to read independently or to share with an adult. Great fun, many thanks.

My 8yo son loved this book - it took a few asks for him to start reading it because of the 'No boys allowed' sign, but when he started he kept giggling and reading sections out to me.

Thank you for the copy of Maisie Mae 'No Boys Allowed'. My 8yo daughter loved it. It held her interest to the end and she sooo wanted Maisie Mae to get her own room. She thought it was funny all the mischief the children got up to. She cut out the door sign too to keep out her own brother!! Lol.
