Can anyone recommend books for my 3 year old DS? He loves stories - usually 5 at bedtime! - and want to get him some new ones. Books he loves are-
The Gruffalo and all the others by same author
Mr Men
Red Riding Hood, 3 Pigs, Gingerbread Man and all those fairy stories
Anything to do with pirates or firemen!
Any suggestions appreciated!

Oliver Jeffers books are brilliant. Stuck is particularly silly.

DS also loves Hugless Douglas and How to Hide a Lion.

Harry and his bucket of dinosaurs
Usborne see inside books they have a pirates one but it's supposed to be quite gruesome.
Where's Wally was a surprisingly good hit.
Slinky Malinky books are really good.
Rumble in the jungle and commotion in the ocean.

My DS is 4 and is loving The Pirate Cruncher by Jonny Duddle. He's written some others too.
Also love Mog and The tiger who came to tea.

Supermarket zoo and others by Caryl Hart ( I think) are brilliant.

Yes, I was just going to say Supermarket Zoo. There is a pirate one in that series too.

And The Pirate Cruncher - brilliant.

Both are books/series that he'll still be enjoying when he's 4/5 too.

DS is almost 5 and still gets excited by new 'Albie' books! The new one is about knights.

The Amazing Machines set from the Book People is fantastic if he is fond of vehicles; 10 books for £10, dazzling diggers, terrific trains etc

Came to say The Pirate Cruncher. Best book ever. Jonny Duddle also wrote The Pirates Next Door which is good.

My Granny is a Pirate another hit.

DS also likes the Appletree Farm series by Usborne.
