I'm not familiar with these books but they seem to be popular with boys so I was thinking of getting one for ds. But there seems to be so many! Do they follow in order? And which one would I need to get first? Really would appreciate the help!

Hi Sarah, thanks for replying back! Ds is 7 and they do seem right up his alley. If you do manage to get the name of book 1, I'd be very grateful! Ds is just like me - wierd about starting anywhere but the beginning!

I think book 1 is Ferno the Fire Dragon.

The first one is Ferno the fire dragon. My ds loves them, and so do some of his female friends

My DS is a bit of a reluctant reader. I was recommended this set by a friend and the lady in Waterstones when I went to buy the first one.

We have just started Ferno, I'm trying to get him to read as much as he will but keeping the story going by helping out now and then. Hoping he will enjoy them as much as others have.

Ds (age 6yo) started reading them about a year ago. He doesn't usually like fiction, but for some reason these really hit it off with him.

I would do the first series first (I think 1-6) and then it doesn't really matter. the first series sets the scene and after that they're all similar-like the Rainbow fairies.

There's also a couple of choose your own adventure ones in the series that ds absolutely loves.

My DS loves them. All 3 DCs (in luding DD, who's 3)spend a lot of time playing at Beast Quest Smile

In theory you need to read in order. In practice they are all EXACTLY the same. I know this because DS2 made me read about 32 in a row as bedtime stories.Shock

However, they were the books that launched ds1 on his path to being a voracious reader so I'll forgive thefactory Adam Blade for churning them out.
