Book recommendations for 10-year-old DD

My daughter has just turned 10. I am looking for recommendations, in particular for books that I can read aloud to her, as she still has a bedtime story. We have done most Roald Dahls, all the Harry Potter books and all the Narnia books. She likes Jacqueline Wilson books, but too many of these at a time get a bit "samey". Re what my DD reads for herself, she is currently happily ploughing through Mallory Towers.

Any suggestions? TIA

Journey to the River Sea by Eva Ibbotson (and lots of her other books, they are really lovely - tho she writes for various ages so have a look at them first, some might be too young, some too old)

The Casson family books (first one is Saffy's Angel) by Hilary McKay - we have these as audio books and I am as happy to listen to them as dd :)

Thanks for the suggestions. I read all the Laura Ingalls Wilder books as a child, so before buying any of them I'll ask my Mum to check whether she still has a full set stashed away in the loft!

if she likes Harry Potter, she might enjoy the Artemis Fowl series by Eoin Colfer, they are very amusing with good characters. Also, though I haven't read them personally, the Percy Jackson and the Olympians series by Rick Riordan seem to be popular with many Harry Potter fans.

if she enjoys slightly old fashioned school stories like the Malory Towers series, she might enjoy the Chalet School books by Elinor M Brent Dyer perhaps.

If she likes fantasy books then she might like 'The Harp of Elvyth' by Debbie Daley.

Dd2 is nearly 10yo and likes very similar to what you've written.
She also loves the Chalet School
Willard Price
Greene Knowe
"Girls Own" lit (50s/60s typically stories written for girls-Gwendoline Courtney is popular-see Girls Gone By Publishing)

Ones dd1 loved were the Roman Mysteries. They read out loud fairly well too.
