Best audio books for pre-schoolers?

Thinking of getting some audio books for the DCs to listen to. Does anyone have any suggestions for a 2, 4 and almost 6 year old please?

We have a Large Family CD - came with the set of 5 books, that one is nice. short stories though so ideal on a trip to the shops but on a long journey will make you want to throw it out of the window.

We got given a set of Beatrix Potter ones which are a bit heavy going for my 2 (4 and 5) but some kids might really like them.

This is the Bear, we have that as well.

If I was to go and buy some I would probably look for Paddington, Wombles or anything by Julia Donaldson because I know my children would like the stories.

We have a set of Julia Donaldson ones - Squash and a Squeeze, Room on the Broom etc. From Amazon = my dd (age 4) loves them.

She also listens to The Tiger Who came to Tea.

Roald Dahl's 'Revolting Rhymes' and 'Dirty Beasts' (on a single CD) should appeal to your age group. (Mine are 2, 5 and 10 and all three enjoyed listening to them.)

Winnie the Pooh (Stephen Fry narrates), The Enormous Crocodile, Stephen Fry again . Tiddler (Julia Donaldson), The Owl who was Afraid of the Dark, Pugwash aloft and Pugwash and the ghost ship. Winnie Under the Sea (Winnie the Witch). And Snow White (Disney)- if you can put up with the American accent the language is old fashioned and great and there is dramatic musical accompaniment.

Anything read by Stephen Fry. My dc find these the most enthralling and he does really good voices. When they are older, Harry Potter is a must (read by Stephen Fry). Like Stephen Fry because he does all the voices himself (like dh) and it's not dramatized. All exactly like the books.
