Was perusing Amazon and saw this with a good recommendation. Wondered about it for 9yo ds .... But reviews are quite American (no bad thing to learn about Franklin etc) .... Am not familiar with this and see there is a computer game tie in and a hefty prize if the puzzle is solved ..... Or is it all to good to be true (clearly been here on MN too long and deeply cynical! smile)

Any recommendations or not appreciated.

DS loved this series when about age 10-11. We didn't do the computer side. I wonder if he would have been too immature at age 9 to make most of them.

Ds is 10 this year, a good reader, and scarily competent on Roblox and Minecraft. He finished all the HP books last year .... Don't want to get him something over his head but can imagine he'd love a game tie-in ...

These are good books for 9+ readers and have the added fun of the computer game although its not compulsory. They are written by different authors including Rick Riordan of the Percy Jackson series.
