Looking for a book for young children with one story but 2 sets of illustrations, about a shopping trip with Mum.

I once saw a lovely book about going shopping with the family. It had 2 lots of pictures, which both related to the one story. eg. Caption of "I thought we would never get there." between 2 contrasting pictures, of European boy and family stuck in traffic jam on the motorway, and African boy and family sitting by broken down bus in middle of nowhere.
It was very well done and showed 2 different lifestyles in parallel, with lovely detailed drawings.
Does it ring a bell with anyone please?
