I am interested in doing this course.
Does anyone know if there is an alternative to the NEC £150 course? as I can't afford that right now.

I don't know much about this, but wonder if OFSTED might be able to guide you on your options?

the only childminding course you will 'NEED@ if you want to be a childminder is the FREE one provided by your local council

I don't see why you would have to pay

Your local council will more than likely give you some money towards the distance one (in Oxford I think it was £100) but that is the only one.

by that I mean NEC is the only distance one!

I'd contact your local CHildcare Information Service - they should be able to help with training
