Start using Mumsnet Premium2 year funding
(2 Posts)Hello
Quick question as I don't know the answer and don't want to give the parent the wrong information!
Do children who have been adopted qualify for the 2 year funding please and if so how many hours?
Thank you for any advice
The government website states eligibility includes a child who has "left care under a special guardianship order, child arrangements order or adoption order".
You may get up to 15 hours a week for 38 weeks of the year, or the provider may average it across the year, giving around 11 hour per week. Not every childcare provider offers funded hours, and each will make a slightly different offer in terms of the times/sessions on offer.
For details, see childcarechoices.gov.uk ; ask your local authorities early years department; and ask your individual childcare providers.
