how do you do the 'letting go' thing?

i struggle to let my nanny get on with it - e.g. today is the first time she's taken him out in her car (normally we'd go together)

am i just a control freak or do other people have issues with this i wonder

Hi Tutter, funny you should say that because I thought I must be a bit control freakish; in the last few weeks of being pg I had a nanny looking after ds for a few hours so i could have a nap, but every time I heard her coming upstairs with him for a nappy change I found myself getting up and taking over. So yes I'm with you there.
