Start using Mumsnet PremiumI'm looking to hire a sort of mother's help/babysitter. Basically someone to do occasional school pick ups. I'll mostly be around so don't need someone experienced. I met someone who seems very lovely. She has only just moved to this country though so doesn't have any references. What is the standard sort of check up people would do for something like this. She will be doing some sole charge but not a lot.
