Hello,

Could some one more experienced clarify this for me? I am planning to help my nanny register with Ofsted. So, we have DBS + update service, First Aid nearly in hand. Will she need to fill in a health declaration booklet? How much written policies do we need in case of inspection?

You might find the nanny board more useful with someone who has already registered.

Just answered very similar question on the Nannies board.

No health declaration required for a nanny - unless Ofsted specifically ask for it.

No written policies at all for a nanny.

Nannies do need to know about safeguarding children and whom they would report a concern about a child - local authority will have a dedicated phone number.

Thank you! It was me asking the same question but, I forgot to ask there about the written policies, so thanks again!

Glad to have been of help. Didn't spot that it was same username.
