No idea. Have you been in touch with any organisations that may help such as ContinYou.

I would contact ofsted and check ratios etc, and your insurance company if they provide cover for breakfast club. Our school runs one, they got funding from somewhere to make it free for a term but they only charge £2 including breakfast from 8am! No way I can compete with that!

Maybe ask school to put in it a newsletter to ask about interest so you can get a rough idea of numbers.

If you are only going to be open for 1 or 2 hours per day you don't need to register with Ofsted. If you are not registered with Ofsted there are no statutory staffing ratios or childcare qualifications that you need to abide by. However, you will need insurance and you will probably find that your insurers will expect a minimum staff:child ratio. With school aged children this is usually 1:10.

However your staff will need to be CRB checked, you will need someone with a paediatric first aid certificate, and since you will presumably be serving food, you will need food hygiene training. You will also need to register with your local authority as a food business.

As breakfast clubs are open for such a short period of time, it can be quite difficult to make much in the way of profit!
