pay for live in nanny

how much should i pay for a live in nanny who would be caring for only one child (infant). can anyone give me some idea. i might keep my part time nanny as live in at some point so wanted to know from the experienced folks. thanks

Depends where you are and the nanny's exsperience and qualifications. Check job ads in your area to get an idea of the local going rate.

I feel it's an employers market though... so probably best that you decide what you feel you can pay someone, then advertise the job (offering it first to your existing employee).

Also, pay should probably be based on number of hours, regardless of the number of children. How many associated chores (i.e. cooking or nursey duties) is realistic can be based on the number of children.
