Hello,

I'm leaving my 7mth old DD with a babysitter who isn't a member of the family for the first time tomorrow. She is coming in the morning to meet DD; see the house etc. She's experienced, has paediatric first aid certificate, CRB checked, a former nursery assistant and comes recommended by two families I know personally.

What else do I need to ask/make her aware of?

As it is over dinner time, do I provide her dinner etc?

Tell me everything

Nervous first time mum!

Where the red book is, where to find the stopcocks for water and gas, the fusebox and a flashlight
Contact numbers for you, where you're going and someone in case she can't reach either of the above
Written details of routine and comfort rituals/objects

Yes, a pizza or something is nice for dinner.

It will be fine smile relax and enjoy.

How do you leave the bedroom door?
If baby cries how quickly do you go? My DD murmurs for quite a while so we are happy for her to be left unless proper crying.
Lights on?
Where/how does she take last bottle?
Do you expect her to wake?

Something simple for dinner yes, pizza would be great.

Any allergies you DD has, if any are known at this stage.

Favourite toy - especially if it's something your DD likes to suck if her teeth are hurting.

Where to find spare bedding.
