Not for an au-pair but an experienced nannie. Required to be totally flexible monday to friday but free at the weekend.

Any idea?

For totally flexible you are looking at a 24/5 nanny, from £500 net per week so that will set you back £742 per week inc. tax and NI, I think. Plus nanny's food, children's food, nappies, wipes, kitty for activities, say from £40 (?) per week.

I mean kitty c. £40 ...

Children's food, nappies, wipes etc are a sunk cost anyway.

I'd agree with the assessment of £750+ all told in wages for an experienced nanny and that's the lower end of the scale for 24/5. Experienced and qualified nannies can earn that working 'normal' hours in central London living in.
