Does anyone know of any PlayGroups, NannyShare, or DayCamp, in/around London that have space for a 7 year old child during the next two weeks?

We are moving to London in a few days with our 7 year old daughter. She just finished Year 3 in the US (US school year ends earlier).

The UK holiday camps don't start until July. And since we just landed, we cannot enroll her into our local London school to finish out the UK school year. (In-year admission is a weeks long process and requires Council Approval).

We are hoping to enroll her into something where she can play with other kids, have social contact, during those final two weeks of June.

Any advice or information that anyone can provide would be tremendously appreciated.

You wont get many older children in for the day but many childminders do school picks ups so you may find one who has younger children 9 to 3 and school age around then school breaks up around the 20th of July.
You can get details from your local families information at the local authority and as stated on

You may find student who has finished uni early willing to go out and about on day trips etc. Obviously no other children and no insurance or DBS checks.

Do you need the childcare for work or are you just worried your daughter will be bored?
If it's the latter I'd just book a nanny for a couple of days whilst you get things sorted out and the rest of the time take her around London. There are loads of child friendly activities many are free too and you'll spend a similar amount of money on just a few days childcare which will work around you.
Museums are much quieter in June. I'd also recommend going out to Windsor and seeing legoland and possible the castle too.

You need to apply to the LA for a school place

Schools finish in July (21st here) for summer.

She can join in the fun stuff, days out, picnics and make friends before she has to start the serious work!!
