Parent Know How Directory

ChildcareLink and Families Information Services are changing. From September 2009 there will be a new database which will contain information about all childcare facilities plus other things that are handy to parents.

Watch Video on YouTube for a 9 minute introduction.

Have you been told about this... or is this new news to you? I'm wondering how much publicity this has had amongst childcare providers and parents.

I knew the CIS database was being written but that is all

NetMums... they get everywhere! I wonder why they got on the list, but Mumsnet didn't.

netmums are useful and helpful in some matters. and i think the slightly less intimidating air about it (as opposed to mumsnet) would appeal to some people.

i don't think it really matters where people get the information from that they need, as long as it is the correct info - having said that, i must admit i have not looked at the links in detail yet!

Net mums is very good, the reason they get everywhere, I suppose is cos they advertise, I had been using netmums for years. I had never know about mumsnet until someone told me about it. But they're diffrent sites really. This one is great for the chat, and netmums is good for childcare ads, iems for sale and things going on locally.

You know that Nanny Nick, you always advertise on there!

I got my first two kids (still have them!) on netmums... they offer a different service to mumsnet I think, fantastic for networking and info in your local area etc. I have looked at their chat before, but keep coming back here ;) I belong to a fabulous childminding site for work purposes, and have made some super friends there.

Each site has their own use for me.
