Heavy bleeding during labour

Hello, I'm 20 wks pregnant with my 2nd baby. When my son was born I bled very heavily (the bright red sort!) from early labour right through to delivery. It was alarming and very messy and meant I couldn't be on my feet as much as I would have liked. Whilst my mw seemed unconcerned - after monitoring the baby, who was ok she said it was 'just a very heavy show' I wonder if my next labour is likely to be similarly affected? Anyone else had any experience of this?

I too bled quite heavily with pg1 -from show onwards. So much so I needed three units of blood transfused afterwards. Pleased to report no bleeding with my 2nd labour (well nothing abnormal anyway). Hope all goes well for you
