Question about pregnancy notes - what does this mean? ... mdwife code ...

SIL just had sweep

Midwife put :

CX 1cm dial, 1cm long & postir.

Which i take to be cervix 1cm dialated, 1cm thick and still postirior.

but underneath that it says :

VX -2
any ideas?

Vx - Vertex, used in relation to presenting part/position. Means head down

Yes, Vx is the presenting part of the head and -2 is the level above the ischial spines which are little knobbly bones that can be felt inside your pelvis. All sounds good!
