Exactly what does it mean when you have a 4th degree tear

A mum at school has just had her third and said she had a 4th degree tear and needed 26 stiches!

I am pg with my 3rd and am now bricking it!!!!!

it means you tear in your perineum all the way down through your bumhole. I had a third degree tear up to my bum but not through it, didn't notice as it was happening and it wasn't too bad after. Don't panic!

Try not to worry. Everything is stretched when/if it happens and the nerves are spaced so far the area goes numb.

You get to suck on the air for stitches and if you're lucky you get a fantastic experienced seamstress to sew you up even better than you were before. It won't hurt at all if you stock up on gas and air and get as drunk as you possibly can.

I got myself a designer vagina!
