Itchy around C section scar? Also - what contraceptive?

Had my DD by c section four weeks ago. Have stopped taking the painkillers but my scar has started hurting, is this because it's healing or because I've stopped taking the pain relief. Is really itchy too.
On another note I was thinking of going back on Depo Provera (I took it for three years before DD. Or is this not a good idea if we are planning another baby in the next two/three years.

We're told that the recovery period after a CS is 6 weeks for a reason you know! You may feel miles better but your body is still healing. If your scar is hurting it's probably your body's way of telling you to slow down a bit...........
The itching is a good sign that all is healing but be prepared for it to itch on and off forever (and possibly be quite numb too - trying to scratch a scar that itches like mad but is so numb that you can't feel the scratching is just bizarre! And my last CS was 5 years ago )
Can't help on the contraception front but if you're not planning another for 2 or 3 years I would think that any kind of contraception should be fine.
HTH.

Mine itches and I've come to the conclusion I'm misreading the numbness, my back is exactly the same, numb but itchy. Not so much painful anymore though, but I take co-dydramol for my back so could mask it.

I would take paracetamol as you need it and if in two weeks it's still painful when you go for your postnatal bring it up then, although they may tell you to wait till the 8 week check.
