When DD was born she was premature, in distress and needed to get out quickly so when they said I needed to push well and push now, I did. I may have pushed a bit too much and tore in a couple of places. I ended up with a haematoma under the stitches of a vaginal wall tear. I had to go to theatre to have it evacuated under spinal anaesthetic the next day.
Apart from maybe not giving birth on my back next time, is there anything I can do to avoid another haematoma? Am I likely to get another haematoma?
