Hard to explain the pain but after walking fairly short distances I have aching feeling in pelvis ? When is this likely to go?

I used to get a re-occurrance of SPD every menstrual cycle. I guess it is the same hormones or something loosening the pelvis up.

I did have SPD during pregnancy. This feels different - mild burning sensation. Could well be related to the SPD - hadn't thought of that.

I had mild SPD during pregnancy and it took about three months or more to settle after having DD2. I think it can take a while for everything to settle and for the ligaments to sorten and return to 'normal' or as normal as they're going to be. Give it a bit more time and I'm sure within a month or two it will not be troubling you.

Thanks . I think it is wise to give it a bit more time.

We release hormones to relax everything in latter stages. These take a while to be reabsorbed (longer if breastfeeding). Do plenty of pelvic floor stuff and rest when you can. Perhaps mention to GP at 6 week check if persisting. I am sure it will settle.
