How many weeks are you?

With my first pg, they never hurt at all
With second, they were a bit uncomfy
With this one, they are MUCH stronger

cravingaquietlife · 30/08/2008 20:58

It's a slight tightening of the womb muscles, they are practicing for the real thing.

Should not be painful and won't normaly last longer than about 30 seconds MAX.

How many weeks are you?

cravingaquietlife · 30/08/2008 21:00

Definately get stronger and more noticable IMO with subsequent pregnancys.

Could well be the start.

I have to say though, I had this on off, periody, crampy bit for about a week before my No.3 arrived.

Your body is gearing up but it's going to happen soon.

Good Luck

tho I am a bit tired maybe I shall just go to bed !!!

It's not sad, it's natural, the last few weeks you need the patience of a saint. I remember my dissapointment every morning when I woke at a normal time having been convinced when I went to bed that this would be "the" night. Very frustrating at the time.
Make the most of the the time left to chill, whatever happens, in under 4 weeks you are goig to be holding a new bundle. 4 weeks is nothing compared to 38 if you think lke that.

Go to bed, if it's going to happen tonight it will, but do let me know in the morning.

My BH were worse in the evening with DD1 and still are with DD2. Your baby is OP isn't it? I found/find that they can be a bit painful because they give me backache. The "proper" contractions were different though, as they stopped me in my tracks, the BH I could still talk through.

Most active labours start at night though, so there's still time today.

Glad you feel OK. yeah, mine were definately more of an evening thing too.

Will be watching for an anouncement. Good Luck!

How you feeling?

No help at all? God, I am definately hoping things go well for you. I have a 20mth age gap between my girls. Would you like me to lie to you or tell you the truth? It's a doddle.

cravingaquietlife · 03/09/2008 19:48

Actually we have the same gaps between all our children. Ds was 4.5 when dd2 was born.

lol, OK I won't, it'll be really, really hard! You'll be OK, lets face it we kind of just have to be.

You might not have much "real" help there to change bums, give hugs, wipe sick snot, bath kids. But I found Mumsnet the best support and to help keep me sain if I hit any tough times. I did a few times. They didn't pay me to say that, honest!

How long will they let you go before they start talking surgery again?

Report
cravingaquietlife · 03/09/2008 22:17

lol, I am a tit; just read your post again, there am I telling you it's hard again, and having re-read I think you wanted me to tell you it's easy. It's been a long summer!

Honest, piece of P*!

I wouldn't change it though.

Do you know if you are having a boy or a girl?

Morning!

Woo Hoo for Mum! Bet you won't sleep a wink, you never do when you're allowed to. Will be nice for a break though, make the most of it.

A girl! , a pink princess to be stropy make you scream smile. I had a boy first and then 2 girls. No, in all honesty they are gorgeous, but beware.... very different to boys, you may think now your lads like to be independant and strong but Oh boy just wait. haha The boys will love having a baby sister to fuss over and look after in years to come. She is soooooo going to love having big brothers to scare her boyfriends.

Off to do some cleaning....groan!

Rest up chick, will check in later! x
