Is there any logical reason why raspberry leaf tea might give me a headache?

I started drinking it in earnest a few days ago, and have been plagues by headaches for a similar period. Is it just coincidence, or is there any reason at all RLT might cause it, does anyone know?

Am trying to persevere with RLT, but not sure if it's worth it if it's giving me headaches!! Could also be Olympics withdrawal symptoms...

Any other symptoms, upper Gi pain, excessive swelling etc?

U should maybe visit your midwife tomorrow, or nip into nurse at Dr's and get BP checked and urine checked, just to be on the safe side as BP can go up quickly.

Will give nice maternity assistant lady a quick call - I'm sure it's nothing, but have also been suffering with the gut from hell - probably I just have some manky bug! Have also been quite hot for last 48 hours, but thought this was just late pregnancy related (38 and a bit weeks).

It really is just all glamour being pregnant...

Fingers crossed its nothing to worry about, I had PET myself so know how quickly these things can start.

Keep me posted, good luck.

I doubt it's the RLT. I drank bucketloads of RLT when I was overdue with DD. Didn't work. I am prone to headaches, and it also didn't give me headaches.

Jeez, to be almost dues and to catch some horrid bug at the same time. Sounds awful. You have my sympathies.

Spoke to maternity assistant and she says that it sounds like I have unpleasant bug, nothing sinister. She said if headaches worsen, or I get any other symptoms, to give her a call and she'll arrange for me to pop into maternity unit for a bit of monitoring.

She also said link with RLT is highly unlikely, so I'll optimistically continue with that in the hope of fantastically efficient contractions...

Baby is supremely unconcerned by my mad gut, temperature and headaches and is leaping around, so presumably it is not affected..
