Been in agony for most of the night, kept feeling REALLY hot (heat really doesn't usually bother me) I'm not dehydrated. Kept getting cramps, feel like everything is pushed down.

Been trying to 'encourage' baby to come all last week, bouncing on ball, walking up stairs, spicy food etc.

Been feeling sick this morning but haven't actually been sick. Still got backache.....

Is this a sign that this little madam might be planning on enjoying summer with us before long?

Well no sign of her just yet, but spent this morning in town and was sick at about 11am, and have been getting bad backache and pains across bump all day so am hoping this might be the start of things. Pains didn't go when I was walking around either....that;'s a good thing right? lol

Still sore lower down but backache is becoming more and more (frustratingly) intermittant.

Going to bed to see whether that brings anything back. lol

Rockinmum - I had this with dd(4). It went on for days..... HOWEVER the fab thing was that by the time I felt it get a tad sorer (and I mean not even warranting paracetamol!) I decided to go to the hospital as I live 18 miles from it and didn't have a car at the time.

I was AMAZED to find I was 3-4 cm dilated! So all the behind the scene niggles had been doing the trick.

Is this your first?

Sounds very much like "it".
Nausea and backache were a big feature of my labour. Top tip - backache can mean an OP presentation, in which case it's a really good idea to keep off your back - lying down was very painful for me, I was much better on all fours.
Good luck.

Just got back from hospital, and after being hooked up to the CTG for half an hour I apparently had a contraction? Heres hoping she is en route.

Also bump has shrunk by 3 cms?????? How very........

if your baby has moved right down into your pelvis this can make your bump measure smaller. so that's a good sign!

Ooh, almost exactly this time last year, I was you! Niggles, braxtons, backache, pressure, baby really really low, from monday til wednesday midnight, then I got a show and it all kicked off, contractions becoming regular and stronger until I went to hospital at about 6am, and they said I was at 4cm, and he was born 10.51am.

He was born 9th august 2007 and he's now suddenly a great big massive boy who is currently scoffing pizza and watching startrek. I'm envious of your tiny bundle-to-be! Good luck.

Well, she's not here yet but still getting pains and feel like I'm leaking but nothing there (oh joy)

Was at hospital on Friday and she is 3/5 palpable, got contraction master up now to time these pains so I can call midwife later as I'm not sure what they are!!!

Did anyone else get contractions that they could deal with at first???????????

Ok then, DH has left (5am) and I just feel sick constantly, fed up really lol.

Back still hurts and am praying that if anything does happen its during the day so I don't have to wake anyone up!

Oh well, best go clean the house!! -
