Im really interested to know who went into labour in the day and who at night.
With both my previous labours Ive woken up early hrs of the morning in labour so im not expecting to go into labour in the daytime.
also wondering if you had any signs before the first contraction came as again i woke up in labour so had no signs.
Im 2 days overdue now and both my other babies were already born by this stage so im expecting something different lol.

Both times were just minutes before we were about to go to bed.

Nature says it is more likely to be at night in a dark and comfortable environment (your bed!)

But my first signs of being in labour were just before lunch with both of my pgs. Doesn't mean to say that my body wasn't actually in labour before that though IYSWIM.

Labour started at night, though did have a bombay bad boy pot noodle, with added hot pepper sauce and then nookie. I the constantly kept moving and hey presto contractions starte around 9pm.

Apparently most babies are born in the wee hours, I think it's where your relaxed at night and meant to be asleep!

By de by...the bombay and nookie worked both times to start labour at 39+1 and 39+2 with both DD's.

6pm - although had been having mild contractions since 3am the previous morning - still swear I would have gone into labour then if I hadn't been stuck on an overcrowded AN ward due to ruptured membranes.

Well I always expected to labour and birth in the night, but as it was I managed a daylight birth even in the depths of winter. Went into labour at 12noon and gave birth at 3pm

All 4 started at around midnight.

ds1 was the only one who gave me twinges throughout the day before that but they were so mild I couldn't work out if i was imagining them or not.
I wenttop bed at about 10pm and woke at midnight needing the toilet. The proper pains started while I sat on the loo

DS - waters broke at 6:30 am. Contractions started properly at 6:45pm

DD - contractions started at 6:45am, just after I got up

DS1 - started at 10.15pm, born 2.15am
DS2 - started at 6.00 am, born 9.15am

No signs of labour with either - both started with my waters breaking. Only difference was that with DS1 I didn't go into labour for another 10 days! (Most boring time of my life stuck in hospital - not even registering Braxton Hicks when I was monitored each day)
