Childbirth

Has anyone been a few days early with their first two children then later with their third?

I'm not even due until Sunday but had both dd and ds at 39+4 even though they were completely different labours. I'm now 39+3 and don't really feel like this baby is coming anytime soon I did have a small bloody show on NYE but nothing since apart from the usual crampy feelings and lots of pressure/soreness to be expected at this stage of pregnancy. I know I have been lucky in the past not going over but I will be really pissed off if I go over this time as my bump is alot bigger and i'm much more uncomfortable than in my other two pregnancies. I just want him out!

I had dd at 36 weeks, ds1 at 38 weeks and ds3 at 39+4. Just have to wait and see how it goes. Hope it's not too much longer for you.

You might find that no. 3 arrives very quickly with little warning. Do you like surprises?

For the record mine were 2 days early, 10 days late and 7 days early. So no pattern at all. I'd like this one to err on the early side to avoid DS1s birthday.

Oh bloody hell Duchess don't say that. no.2's labour was enough of a suprise in that I got a day full of copeable labour pains then a huge show , huge pain and my established labour was 40 minutes! I'm having a homebirth this time as I am NOT going through that car journey again.

I know i'm being crap and could have days to wait but I think because the other two came at exactly the same stage I just assumed that this one would too..

The last couple of weeks of waiting around are the pits aren't they?

I had my DC3 at home. Good thing too, it only took an hour between waters breaking and the measly 3 pushes it took to get her out. I barely had time to put the other DCs to bed.

She's in labour now. The thread is something like 'shit my waters have broken'.

Such an eloquent title
