Says it all really, can't remember if there's any advice on this. I'm being induced tomorow and want to know if I can drive again next week if all goes well and I feel up to it.

If you feel up to it, you can probably drive next week. Good luck for the induction tomorrow

As soon as you feel up to it.

Best of luck!

I drove the next day, and I had a forceps delivery and "quite a few" stitches!
it was fine, though avoided the speed bumps!

Brilliant, thanks
I only want to be able to take DS1 up to nursery (til I feel up to the walk) and maybe pop to the shops without relying on DH...independence again finally

My dp is not a confident driver and was v. stressed when he picked me and ds up from the hospital so we decided it would be safer if I drove home! less than 48 hours after long induction, forceps and episiotomy. Didn't drive much thereafter though I must admit for the next few weeks!

i would even suggest when u ge picked up at tthe hospital get ur dp to bring a pillow with him for u to sit on. i practically was permenantly aached to a pillow fo the fist couple of weeks

I was driving a few days after the births of my second and third children (hadn't started learning to drive when I had my first). I didn't have stitches though.

I had stitches after ds (my second) but think definitely drove within a week.

I drove 2 days after (and had no particualr need to drive before then), as long as you feel you can, you should be fine.
I drove to the local (10 mins walk) shop, as I was scared to leave DS for more than a few minutes

With DD waited 10 days ish as tore very badly and couldn't sit in a comfortable and safe position to drive. After DS just 3 days I think

I drove my new, huge car (to fit the double buggy and other paraphanalia that twins need) 6 days later. With stiches. Because I had to. Take it steady and best of luck.
