Hello-

I had a successful ECV at 37 weeks for a transverse baby. I'm due back tomorrow 39+3 to see if the baby has moved back. I have a few worries which I will discuss tomorrow but I just wondered if anyone could shed some light.

If he hasn't moved I can carry on as I am.

If he has moved they will offer another ECV& be induced

Or they'll offer a c-section.

I just need some views please- what would you do? Would you have another ecv or ask for a c-section? My heart was set on a natural birth- I had one with my son but I was induced with no issues. I wasn't far off being sent for a section though. BUT I'm concerned that another ecv may lead to a section or induction can lead to a section. I'll do whatever is safest for baby but has anyone else been in the same situation?

I'm petrified of the recovery after a section but I need to do what's bestSad

How did it work out for you? I'm 39 +2 today and had unsuccessful ecv after finding out 2 days ago baby is extended breech. I've now been booked in for c section at 39+5. Would love to know how you got on

@Rubiales678 Hello, I have only just seen this. It ended terribly. I went in for monitoring at 40+3, baby's heart rate was going from 120-220& wouldn't settle after 3 hours. They tried to feel baby but he had gone back transverse! While doing this, they had broken my waters. His cord& hand started coming out. Cord prolapseSadI was rushed for a cat 1 section. He needed to be resuscitated ect but he was totally fine in the endStar

I hope yours was more successful x

@SP8849 thanks for replying and sorry to hear it was quite traumatic but glad both you and baby are ok. Hope you are able to come to terms with it. My c section went ahead as planned and my little boy is asleep on me now! How has your recovery been? I got a slight infection in my wound so on antibiotics but think it is healing ok now.
