Most embarrassing moment of childbirth?

As I'm now 7 weeks away from giving birth I can't stop thinking about the big day and laughing at what mortifying things are pretty likely to happen, I.e pooping in front of my fiancé, swearing in front of total strangers etc.

What's the most embarrassing thing you've done/said during labour?

Not all women poo. I worried I would until the time actually came then I was like meh. But then again it was just me and midwife. No man to concern us!! I did poo. It's good - it shows you're pushing right. Smile The first time I pushed it had no go in it at all. You really have to go for it!! I remember did get a bit frustrated cuz I kept pushing and all I was doing was pooing!! But he popped out eventually!!! Most embarrassing bit - nothing at all. It's a wonderful magic experience.xxx

With my 3rd baby I pooped too! I was actually mortified but the midwife was not bothered at all. They've seen it all before so please don't worry 😊

I didn't poo! The pethidine made me say some weird stuff though 😂

I told the paediatrician to fuck off and he dutifully stood with his back to me in the corner like a naughty boy! 🤣

Years ago we were given an enema when we went into labour.

I was off my head on gas and air. It really helped with the pain but also made me very loopy. I distinctly recall telling the anaesthetist that I was really high and didn’t need an epidural 🙈

My husband filmed me saying some really crazy things and showed me later

Remember thinking I was part of the ceiling at one point

I said to DH, in a haze of pethidine, that I thought the baby had done a poo ( I could smell it) - he replied that no, in fact, that was me 😂 I’m not even sure now whether DS had been born by that point!

I think I may have jokingly referred to it once since then and he’s a teenager now. DH has never brought it up.

I thought I'd poo myself with the epidural so when the midwife left the room I made my DH check to see 😂 not really embarrassed by it though.

I did kick off right before the end when they took the nos off me. Made them give it back. I said sorry to the midwife after, she just laughed and said they'd seen it all.

I have literally no idea what came out of me except the baby! The midwives have seen everything before and you're that focussed on pushing you don't really have time to think and worry about anything else.

My most embarrassing (more funny really) moment was when I was getting my epidural. The anaesthetist was having a hard time getting the needle in and was telling me I had a very bony back. My reply, in a very drunken gas and air state was, "I have the bones of an ox!"

I was flat out fully naked infront of 7 emergency csec doctors, at that point you don't give a flying fuck about embarrassment, you just want your baby out and alive and healthy.

I pooped, told the midwife, they just covered it and we all carried on. Recorded delivery was 2.5 minutes so no time for faffing!!

Oh, and I asked if I could go home at about 9cm dilated - I remember the look of disbelief on everyone’s faces. I actually meant that I wanted to go home as soon as possible after the birth!

I told my partner that a cow was in the bedroom with us mooing.
It was my own sounds

I was not embarrassed at all during labour- far too much pain for that. Though I did actually feel the midwife wipe poo away. Afterwards, it was having a male doctor check for tears on my urethra. And being sewn up on that gynaecological stirrup bed thing that's been pumped up so it's at head height for the nurses.

It's a glamorous business, is childbirth.

Howling at the top of my lungs whilst high on gas and air "I'VE DONE A POOOOOOOOOO!!"

Then chatting to another couple with their baby in the newborn jaundice clinic a few days later and finding out they were in the room next door to mine, had their baby an hour before me and basically heard everything Blush

I weed when the midwife was doing my stitches and she commenting 'oh you're weeing' I was so apologetic but in my defense l had just had a baby and had no control and epidural hasn't worn off so I didn't even know!Shock

I got quite sweary when the midwife offered gas and air like it was the holy grail and it did sweet FA for me. What a let down. And then DH kept trying to get me to have it again, so he got told repeatedly and earnestly that it wasn’t very good’. I thought I was whispering it to him but apparently I was very very loud 😂😂

Ah don't worry one bit about the pooing! I did every time (3 kids). Seriously, you won't care. I mean my god, pregnancy makes you constipated right?! So there's a lot backed up Wink

Even now - and my eldest is 15 - DH and I laugh about the first time. He said he was a little taken aback for a moment, but by the second and third child, he hardly noticed Grin

When I was preparing to give birth I said to my partner whatever happens I don't want to be naked in front of the midwife and I don't want to know if I poo.
When I was pushing I felt so hot and bothered that I prefered to be naked and I definitely had a poo too. Also I found it more comfortable being on all fours too so not a nice image really. I also remember doing a big push and then asking if that was a baby or a poo and the midwife said it's not a baby. I'm mortified thinking back but hey ho 🤣

Nothing was embarrassing about childbirth, during or after, it's one of those rare moments in life that puts everything in perspective. The most embarrassing thing for me was the fact I bought a £50 "birthing wrap dress" for the pool. Yes, really. No, I didn't wear it.

There is a classics thread about this, it is hilarious

When having a C-section with my dt, didn't find out what they were before the birth so I was shown my first born, high on some sort of drug as I'd tried to leg it as I was petrified of everything
I was shown twin 1
Oh look a boy! Baby has balls only, maybe the penis comes out later?
Nope just a girl with swollen bits😂

Second csection after days of very painful contractions so no sleep
On gas and air❤️❤️❤️❤️offer it to everyone before it got taken away😭

I had a home water birth and DH dishes my poo out the pool 😂

Absolutely off my face on G&A in the birthing pool, literally thought I was floating on a cloud & was telling DH how great it was. The student midwife thought it was hilarious, so did I to be fair Grin

With first ds I pooed , I made awful dog growling noises and managed to rip the belt loop of my stbxh jeans . With my DD I pooed , I cried ,and when stbxh couldn't see the emergency buzzer I screamed at him to ' just press the fucking buzzer ' . With my youngest ds I was laid in the bed in hospital and my waters broke I said to the woman in the bed that I thought I'd wet myself
