Waters have just gone gah!

Midwife popped round as I was having tightenings last night and started to lose my plug today.

She gave me a sweep and said I was about 2-3cm, baby’s head was way down. Within 10 minutes of her leaving my waters have gone!! Full on gushing woah.

I’m currently sat on a potty on the sofa as it was the nearest thing to hand 🙈😂 DH has taken an overnight bag for our Dd to his mum’s. I’m just sat here trying not to freak out!!

Someone help me stay calm!! I am freaking out. 39+5 currently.

Thanks everyone! No don’t know what we are having, we’ve got a 2 year old DD.

Have lost a lot more waters since I posted, currently sat on towels and a couple of maternity pads, hoping for a homebirth! Just after I posted this I had a migraine come on lost my vision 😣 I had to hide under a flannel til my eyes could focus again. DH thinks it’s because I started panicking! I’m blaming hormones.

Having lots of pressure no pattern in the pains yet but they are semi frequent.

Will try and keep everyone updated!

Good luck! Hope it all goes okay! I had a home birth last week, it was a lovely birth, 3 hours from first contraction to baby... Keeping fingers crossed you are able to stay at home too

Have you called midwife about the headache? I'm not wishing to panic you more but as it's a symptom of pre eclampsia it's something they usually like to keep an eye on.

Hello all thank you for your well wishes!!

Baby Girl number 2 arrived at 10.12 tonight after a 4 hour labour at home! I am walking on air ❤️

Here she is wearing the same little outfit we first put her big sister in 2 years ago.

My second birth was so much calmer and quicker and I just felt way more in control. Did it all with my trusty tens!

My due date was the 6th so she was 2 days early...a miracle seeing as I am late for everything! Xx

Beautiful. Truthfully I’m not a fan of new borns and I but prefer a bigger baby but she is absolutely gorgeous. Well done Mama.

Awww, she's adorable! Congratulations & well done you on your lovely, quick homebirth Flowers

I had DS3 at home & it was one of the best experiences of my life, so I love a nice homebirth story.

This is crazy OP, I was also due the 6th, I was early (a week ago today), also gave birth at home... but your daughter is wearing the exact same outfit my two boys wore as their first outfit too!
