I found the stitches itchy and got my midwife to cut a knot that was hanging in at week 4. I also had a 2nd degree tear and epi and at week 9 feel quite pleased with how it is healing.
I gave birth on 16/08 to my first baby. I ended up needing forceps as she was the wrong way and became stuck. They cut me but I also ended up tearing at needing surgery right after she was born. I was terrified to go to the toilet but turns out I experience no stinging, burning or pain- bonus! However, in the last week I have experienced stinging and burning when I go for a wee. I’ve had a look and it’s not where be healed to be honest, but it doesn’t look infected (or at least to me it doesn’t). Has anyone else experienced this? Why all of a sudden is it stinging and burning? I’d have thought with it healing (it has been VERY itchy) that wouldn’t happen. TIA
