Contractions

I'm 38+5 and have been having semi regular Braxton Hicks since yesterday.

My last pregnancy I only really had twinges so when contractions started and kept going I knew labour had started. Last time contractions started in the morning and DS was born by 6pm.

These hicks start at the top of my bump, yesterday evening they had moved to a more period pain but by the time I went to bed they had petered out. I'm having pains still today but they don't seem to have any kind of pattern.

Anyone who has had long protracted labours have advice on when it felt like labour to you?

I've had this in all my pregnancies, lasted the whole of the last month really. All good and the womb getting practice. Ive learnt that unfortunately it doesn't mean anything until you're regularly 3 in 10.

Thanks. Although that's not what I really wanted to hear! I'm exhausted already and the pain feels almost constant until I realise it gets worse!

Also DS has a horrible cold so is full on koala mode today too

Sorry!
It's so hard not to get your hopes up, isn't it! I'm currently 39+6 and never been this pregnant with DCs 1&2 and a couple of times I thought things were starting but everything stopped after a good poo blush

Hahaha! I went over with DS so I should be used to it but it's still so frustrating!

At least the trial run last night meant I finally got my hospital bag in order smile

How are you doing @Modestandatinybitsexy?
I'm still pregnant 🙄 getting rather fed up of it all now.

Sorry @AnotherRubberDuck I'm shit at notifications!
Still pregnant here too! In fact I feel even less likely to pop soon, although I know it has to happen at some point...
Hope you've had some success smile
