38 weeks and fed up

I'm 38 weeks pregnant and so fed up.. every night I'm getting sharp stabbing pains through my vagina and my back is aching and this has been happening for about 4 nights. I have really bad SPD and the pelvic pain is becoming unbareable. I can't keep my eyes open longer than 8pm..

I'm just so ready for this baby to come!
It's my second but with my first I was Induced so didn't naturally go into labour so I'm not really sure what to expect and when to expect it.. am I just experiencing BH and how long will this go on before labour starts😭

I also am so hormonal at the minute and the littlest thing stresses me out. My DD has become a terrible sleeper and will not fall asleep on her own and wakes up 3-4 times a night, she's 18 months.. I'm trying to keep her in her routine so when baby is here she doesn't keep doing this but then I sometimes sit and think these are the last few weeks I can cherish her and give her all my attention and cuddles before a new baby arrives .. guilty

So I just want to know how I'll know when I go into labour and if worrying about not being able to give DD so much attention is daft

I'm also 38 weeks and having the same symptoms and pains as you. Unfortunately I think it's just one of those things we have to endure at this stage.

I've had lots of moments where I thought 'is this it' but nothing became of it. I just remember with my first that I knew I was in labour from the intensity of the pains and their consistency. At the moment, everything is very hit and miss.

I feel your pain though, it does get uncomfortable when they are bigger and stronger. Hopefully it won't be long till our babies are here :)

P.S my first labour started by me being woken in the night with period pains and tightenings that effected the way I was breathing. They got more intense and more frequent. Hope that helps.

37+3 with DC2 and fed up and symptom spotting! Had convinced myself baby would be early which clearly means I will go over...

How are you feeling?
Like above, my first labour started with mild cramps that got stronger and stronger. No plug or waters or warning in day.

Growth scan on thurs as been told baby massive.. although midwife very vague on what they would actually do!

@RC000 hi!

I was exhausted and this went on for another 2 weeks but I finally had a sweep at 39+4 on Friday and on Saturday at midnight 39+5 my waters broke and had my DD.. only in labour 38 minutes.

I had no signs of labour, no contractions or nothing. I woke up and my waters went, called the mau who told me to wait an hour and see if things progressed.. within 5 minutes of my waters going contractions started 3 minutes apart, got to hospital within 15 minutes of my phone call, 5cm dilated and moved to delivery suite and within minutes she was born..

All that exhaustion and being fed up was completely worth it now I'm looking at her beautiful face!
