I had my second baby at GWH last year and all the midwives and paediatricans were fantastic. I know a few others that have given birth there and they found it very good too.

Good luck.

I've had two daughters there, and although both have been tricky births, I have found the staff to be fab. Last time, I had a third degree tear - after a water birth, but I found all of the staff to have been great with me. The aftercare from my tear has been really good (especially compared to some of the stories I hear from other hospitals). As I said, I has a water birth and I found them very accommodating in that, and really supportive of my choices. The actual birth went very well (although the afterbit wasn't so nice).
Deffo, ask for your own room, it is so much nicer, and do it when you arrive (not after the birth) as you may not get one if you don't ask early enough. I had a private room first time, and it is so much nicer. Really worth every penny! The only downside is that you do have to ask for help if you are in your own room - the midwive's won't pop in so much. but just buzz them and they are really helpful.

Good luck with it - I was really impressed with them, and most of my friends who have given birth there have positive accounts too (about 10 births in the past 3 years).
